Based on the DC comic, iZombie is a supernatural crime procedural that centers on med student-turned-zombie Olivia \u201cLiv\u201d Moore (Rose McIver), who takes a job in the coroner\u2019s office to gain access to the brains she must reluctantly eat to maintain her humanity. But with each brain she consumes, she inherits the corpse\u2019s memories. <\/p>\n<p>With the help of her medical examiner boss and a police detective, she solves homicide cases in order to quiet the disturbing voices in her head. Michalka will play Peyton, Liv\u2019s best friend. This was a series regular role, played by Alexandra Krosney in the pilot, and changed to recurring. Michael Beach (Sons Of Anarchy, Third Watch) has been tapped for a recurring role on ABC drama series Secrets &amp; Lies from producer Aaron Kaplan and director Charles McDougall. <\/p>\n<p>Based on an Australian series, Secrets &amp; Lies stars Ryan Phillippe as a family man who finds the body of a young boy and quickly becomes the prime murder suspect.
