Their last EP &#8220;<strong>Ten Years<\/strong>&#8221; was released in <em>November 2017<\/em>.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nThe song will appear on their upcoming 5-track second EP &#8220;<strong>Sanctuary<\/strong>&#8221; in the coming months. And the duo will embark on a North American tour of the same name.<br \/>\n<br \/>\n\u201c<em>We fixated over lyrics much more deeply than we ever have on past songs, to the point where it almost would take us away from the song,<\/em>\u201d <strong>Aly<\/strong> said. \u201c<em>We would be over it or [think] this song isn\u2019t gonna work. Then we would come around back to it a month later and start fiddling with it again and change some lyrics.<\/em>\u201d<br \/>\n<br \/>\n\u201c<em>We really didn\u2019t have time to do any more than five [songs],<\/em>\u201d <strong>Aly<\/strong> said. \u201c<em>The next chapter for us is to do a 10-song album.<\/em>\u201d<br \/>\n<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align:right;\"><a href=\"http:\/\/www.pmstudio.com\/music\/music.html?page=20190329-9210\">Source<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\n<strong>Aly &#038; AJ<\/strong> have a lot in store for 2019. The sisters and bandmates staged an epic return with the unveiling of their <strong>Ten Years<\/strong> EP last year. Clearly their creative juices are flowing because they are gearing up to drop a second EP in the coming months. Called <strong>Sanctuary<\/strong>, it will be supported with a North American tour of the same name.<br \/>\n<br \/>\nAccording to a press release, the 5-track collection pushed the duo to explore some deeper material. That meant moving beyond writing about relationships to tackle subjects such as mental health. \u201c<em>It is our duty to write some songs that we felt were socially conscious,<\/em>\u201d <strong>Aly<\/strong> explained in a shared statement.
