This post should’ve been posted somewhere in March or April, but still… We have the great news: Aly Michalka got a role in a Hallmark movie titled Sand Dollar Cove, in which she is going to play alongside Chad Michael Murray. The movie will be premiered on June 26th.
Real estate development project manager Elli (Michalka) is sent by her company to the quaint, seaside Connecticut town of Sand Dollar Cove to acquire the beachfront property they’ve chosen as the site of their new resort. Brody (Murray), the charming local who holds the deed, wants to make sure the town’s beloved pier — where many memories have been made over the years — remains intact. Elli and Brody spend time together while she tries to figure out a way to make the deal work and the undeniable connection between them grows. Based on the book by Nancy Naigle.
Adding to the list of movies filming in Connecticut, a Hallmark movie called “Sand Dollar Cove” is shooting in Mystic and looking for extras to play everyday pedestrians.
Casting is being conducted by the same company currently seeking extras for a Netflix movie in Stamford and an A-list film in Hartford.
Citrola Casting, LLC describes the film as “a Hallmark movie about a real estate project manager in a small town.” According to Hallmark Channel, the movie will premiere on June 26 and stars Chad Michael Murray (“One Tree Hill,” “Gilmore Girls”) and Aly Michalka (“Phil of the Future,” “Easy A“).
