Aly and AJ Michalka will struggle to find perfect harmony when the singing duo guest-stars on the March 7 episode of The Good Doctor.
TVLine can exclusively reveal that the siblings will play a fictitious sister act—err, former sister act, on the ABC medical drama. In the episode, titled “Yippee Ki-Yay,” Andrews tries to please Salen by taking on the high-profile case of a famous pop star who is determined to get her voice back — even if it means undergoing a high-risk procedure.
Goldbergs vet AJ will play Nelly, the aforementioned Patient of the Week who lost her voice due to injuries sustained in a car accident. She maintains a close (though slightly strained) relationship with older sister/onetime singing partner Lexi (iZombie‘s Aly), who has since gone on to superstardom.
Congratulations, AJ Michalka, on getting a new role in Showtime‘s new movie! We can’t really wait to see you in the new movie and see who you played.
EXCLUSIVE: AJ Michalka has joined the cast of the upcoming Ray Donovan feature-length film.
Michalka will play the younger version of Abby in the film, which will continue Ray‘s journey following the hit drama series’ seven-season run on Showtime.
The Ray Donovan film is executive produced by Hollander, Schreiber, Mark Gordon, Bryan Zuriff and Lou Fusaro.
In addition to Schreiber and Voight, Pooch Hall, who plays Darryl Donovan, and Kerris Dorsey, who plays Ray’s daughter Bridget, are among the stars slated to return for the movie.
On May, 18th 2021, AJ Michalka attended the first public appearance in 2021, the premiere of Pink: All I Know So Far at Amazon Studios in Los Angeles, California. We have added 2 of LQ photos of Amanda from this appearance to the photogallery. We will be adding more photos in case we find more HQ photos.

Sad news for Schooled‘s fans: the show, in which AJ Michalka played a lead role of Lainey Lewis, will not be back for a third season due to low ratings. This information was confirmed by the creator of The Goldbergs‘ spin-off, Adam F. Goldberg, on Twitter:
I’m breaking protocol, but wanted the @goldnerds to hear it from me. @SchooledABCwon’t get a season 3. Big hugs to our brilliant cast, crew & writers. I’m beyond grateful to Karey Burke and @ABCNetwork for giving us 35 episodes to show that teachers like CB are the real heroes.
— Adam F. Goldberg (@adamfgoldberg)
ABC’s Jenkintown-set comedy The Goldbergs has been renewed for an eighth season, but its spin-off, Schooled, which Goldbergs creator Adam F. Goldberg had based on his days as a student at Philly’s William Penn Charter School, won’t be back.
Goldberg broke the bad news on Twitter, writing that he was “beyond grateful” to the network and ABC entertainment president Karey Burke “for giving us 35 episodes to show that teachers like CB are the real heroes.”
ABC earlier this month promoted the prom-themed season finales of Schooled and The Goldbergs, which both feature a fictional Quaker school called “William Penn Academy,” by sending Penn Charter seniors, whose prom, like so many others, couldn’t be held this month, “a prom in a box” that included an instant camera, snacks, and crowns and sashes for prom kings and queens.
